Gurminder Sanghera, Corporate Account Manager, Corporate

Hi I’m Gurminder and my job is to manage and grow EE accounts in the West region. I was looking for a fast career progression, so joined EE in April 2015 as a desk based account manager. After learning my trade on regional accounts I got a position in the field sales team within just 12 months and today I manage 14 corporate accounts.

With EE, I’m proud to say I achieved more than 200% of my annual target in 2015. I’m also proud of taking on the challenge of corporate account management and getting the chance to make an impact from day one!

Our customers have responded well to BT and EE joining forces and are really receptive to the opportunities that the UK’s biggest fixed and mobile network provider can offer them. Personally, I’m really looking forward to taking our customers on a journey to unified communications with one trusted service provider who can help their business thrive.

My favourite thing about working in EE corporate account management is the exciting opportunities that you get to work on and how our solutions can really help transform a business.

Hi, I’m Sara and I manage 200 people who deliver the back office services for our customers to ensure their solution is priced, scoped, delivered and managed in-life to the highest quality – that means we have the big and exciting opportunity of owning the customer experience for our Corporate accounts end to end.

I started in BT as an account manager looking after Laura Ashley and Carpetright. I’ve had a fantastic career in BT, I’ve moved around the different Lines of Business, in sales managing large global accounts, marketing in an end to end conferencing venture, operating a large desk team in a reseller venture and now running a large operation in Business and Public Sector. I’ve taken side-ways moves and upwards moves, and have always been encouraged to aim higher.

BT has supported me throughout my career, be it with mentors or coaches, training (formal and informal), career advice and greater opportunities to stretch myself. I have had two children during this time and BT has supported me through this, allowing me to balance a great career whilst being a mum. Obviously within this I have to perform to a high level and own my own career and its development but as a woman in business, BT has put many opportunities in my path.

I’m proud of what BT has achieved over the years and our forward thinking strategy on where we are taking the company. The EE acquisition has been a brilliant move for BT, and we’ve started embracing the best of both cultures, making it an even more exciting and rewarding place to work.

If you’re considering a career with BT, my advice would be; embrace the challenge. There is so much opportunity for you to move around, try out new skills and progress your career. Whether you’re a graduate or a specialist, there is so much you can achieve and go for in BT.

Jessica Batt, Business Account Manager, Corporate

Hi, I’m Jessica Batt and I’m a Business Account Manager based in the Solihull office.

I started as a graduate Account Manager with EE in back in 2015. Two things initially attracted me the organization; the company’s amazing support in helping its people grow and progress their career and my desire to work for an innovative, successful and forward thinking business.

Today I manage around 150 business accounts for the Corporate team and have never looked back! I have been given fantastic support from my manager, my team and have had lots of training and coaching from day one to help me deliver for the business and our customers.

I’m now thrilled that EE and BT have joined forces and I’m excited about what lays ahead for my career, for our company and our customers.

The decision to join EE was huge for me as it meant taking up a completely new profession. I’m pleased to say it’s been the best decision I have ever made.
