Why we do it
Like many other utility organisations, we have to comply with the UK's Civil Contingency and other regulatory requirements – but BT is keen to do far more than simply complying.
When disaster strikes, communications are crucial, and we help the responding organisations involved in to realise how criticaly important they are, and to plan their needs.
We also make sure all the organisations needed in emergencies have access to BT’s support services where appropriate.
In floods, fires, earthquake and terrorist situations, BT has proved its contribution can be vital. When the community is endangered and in need, BT is ready to respond – rapidly, professionally and effectively.
