BT, the Telecom Infra Project (TIP) and Facebook have partnered to open a UK hub for developing next-generation telecoms technology.
Acceleration with TEAC is an opportunity for your start up to work closely with BT engineers based out of Adastral Park (BT’s R&D centre in Suffolk) and BT Infinity Labs in Shoreditch. Progress within the acceleration program will be showcased to the TIP community, currently made of more than 500 member companies.
A number of Venture Capital funds have soft circled funding to companies who are building the most promising technologies. Entrants will be assessed by these VC's as well as BT and TIP. If successful you will get the opportunity to pitch your solution at the BT Tower in October for the Wave 2 Final Event. Please note applications need to be submitted by 24 September 2018.
It’s all part of the Telecom Infra Project’s aim to re-imagine the traditional approach to building and deploying network infrastructure.
The centres, at Adastral Park and in London's Tech City, will be run by BT and will give selected start-ups direct collaboration with leading experts from BT, the TIP community and Facebook. And they’ll have access to BT’s extensive research and innovation capabilities, experience and global network. BT and TIP have particular interest in the following areas:
So if you’ve got a technology you believe could be considered as part of this programme, we’d love to hear from you.
The Telecom Infra Project (TIP) is a collaborative telecom community. Launched in February 2016, TIP was started with the goal of accelerating the pace of innovation in the telecom industry.
Accelerated innovation coupled with new business approaches and cost efficiencies will help the industry build the networks of the future and create business opportunities for new and existing companies, alike.
TIP Ecosystem Acceleration Centre’s (TEACs) are a global, sustainable ecosystem that attracts the brightest entrepreneurial minds and innovative investors to work together to produce breakthrough technologies that reimagine telecom infrastructure. By bringing together the key actors – established operators, cutting-edge start-ups, and global & local investors – TEACs establish the necessary foundation to foster collaboration, accelerate trials, and bring deployable infrastructure solutions to the telecom industry.
In partnership with TIP, several of the world’s largest Telecom Service Providers are hosting TEACs in the UK, Paris, Seoul and Germany.
