New Scientist Live

28 September – 1 October, London

BT was a sponsor, exhibitor and well represented on the conference agenda. New Scientist Live showcased BT’s innovation and the breadth of our technical expertise as a company to a very wide audience.

Around 25,000 people, from schoolchildren to leading academics and prospective BT employees passed through the event across the four days. Tim Whitley welcomed astronaut Major Tim Peake, the show headliner, to the BT stand and talked him through our tech partnerships.

We demonstrated our work with Williams Martini Racing and Land Rover BAR America’s Cup team, as well as our own research demos into quantum security and big data analytics, straight from the BT Labs.

BT speakers included Tim Whitley, Nicola Millard, and Steve Masters.
